Day 1- USA - Rio de Janeiro

Departure for Rio de Janeiro via overnight jet flight.

Day 2 - Rio de Janeiro

Early morning arrival at Rio's Galeão Airport.

After immigration and customs, transfer to hotel.

Balance of day at leisure to acquaint with city.

Day 3 - Rio de Janeiro

Tour to Sugar Loaf. A two-stage cable car brings you atop Sugar Loaf Mountain where you will have a astonishing view of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana Beach, and the city. Alternatively you may visit the Sugar Loaf.

Day 4 and 5 - Rio de Janeiro
Two days at leisure. (Optional: Full day cruise/tour to the Tropical Islands - consult your guide for details)

Early morning scenic drive via Costa Verde "Green Coast" to the fishing village of Itacurussa for the cruise to a tropical paradise.

Arrival at Jaguanum Island for swimming, sightseeing and a delightful buffet lunch.

Return to Rio early evening.

Day 6 - Rio de Janeiro - Salvador, Bahia

Transfer to Rio's airport for your flight to Salvador.

Arrival in Salvador and transfer to your hotel.

Evening at leisure.

Day 7 - Salvador, Bahia

Morning tour of old Bahia.

See the city's churches and chapels built in the 16th and 18th centuries.

Visit Castro Alves Square (main point of Bahian Carnival), and Largo do Pelourinho.

Day 8 - Salvador, Bahia

At leisure to further explore this colonial city with a strong African influence. Make sure you try the local cuisine, and take a look at some capoeira dancers.

Day 9 -Salvador - USA

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the USA.
